In 2018, Tamika fulfilled her vision of creating a space for entrepreneurs to work, collaborate, and build connections by opening ConverSpace, a thriving coworking space. Through hosting engaging networking events, establishing partnerships with the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, and offering a welcoming environment for creatives, professionals, and even presidential candidates, Tamika successfully created a highly sought-after space. As a result, ConverSpace quickly gained popularity, attracting clients from various locations including New York, California, and beyond.
ConverSpace faced a major challenge in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the traditional coworking model. However, Tamika quickly pivoted the business to focus on providing essential services to entrepreneurs starting their own businesses. Through her expertise and strategic planning, Tamika was able to master the framework to create a sustainable business model that has successfully supported over 600 clients to date. This model has not only helped new entrepreneurs grow their brand but also assisted established ones to expand it further. Despite the difficult circumstances created by the pandemic, Tamika's innovative approach has ensured that ConverSpace remains an invaluable resource for the entrepreneurial community.
